Do you run an official University social media account?

We have a campus social media managers group, and we'd love for you to join! If you'd like to be added to this group, search Facebook for "UL Lafayette Social Media Managers" and request to join, or email social@louisiana.edu

Do you want to set up a new social media account for your department, office or org?

If you're thinking of starting a new account and have questions, email us at social@louisiana.edu. We'd like for you to start your account the right way — with goals, strong content, and ideas for how to keep the account fresh and engaging over time! Check out our pages on best practices and how to name your account on social media to help you get started, and then fill out our social media account request application

Add your social media accounts to our social media directory.

Visit our social directory for a list of the University's official and student organization social media accounts. If you've recently started a new account or your account isn't currently included, we'll add it the directory after you fill out this form

Love taking photos?

You could be featured on the University’s Instagram! If you're like us, then we know you have tons of photos of campus and UL Lafayette events on your phone. We want you to share them with us! Tag @ULLafayette in your photo or story, or send a direct message to our account, and it could be selected to appear on the official @ULLafayette account feed or story — credited to your account, of course.

Do you want to run the @myULLafayette Instagram account?

Our @myULLafayette student takeover account is an opportunity to share a week in your life at UL Lafayette or showcase your student organization’s work or event to other students and high school students interested in attending our University. You can apply to run the account for a week (Monday to Sunday) here and read over the posting guidelines.

Join the UL Lafayette Social Media Team!

The UL Lafayette Social Media Team (SMT) is a group of about ten students who meet monthly with the University's social media strategist to contribute ideas and learn about social media as a profession. Team members pitch ideas, craft content, and help execute social media campaigns across the University's official social media accounts, including Twitter, TikTok, Discord, Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook, as well as the website. SMT applications for each academic year are open from May-September.
