Great! We love to see the University's online community grow... but we also want you to start off on the right foot and with a realistic understanding of what you're getting into. Social media will take up a lot of time if you're doing it right, so we want you to be prepared before you start a new account.

How to name your University social media account.

With a limited amount of characters available for account names on most platforms, using the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's formal name isn't always an option. How do I make our social media the best it can be? 

If you're a campus social media manager, you'll want to keep our University branding guidelines in mind as you post on social media. You can find more information In our brand guide. While we ask that you keep to our visual brand guidelines, it's important that you use your department's own personality on social media. This personality should be similar to our overall brand personality but could be a little looser, more personal or more formal, depending on your audience.
